Meeting

The Summit of Group of Eight industrializes nations, G8 Summit for short is meeting in Heiligendamm, Germany from June 6-8.

Five other countries major developing countries have been invited. They are:

1. China,

2. India,

3. Brazil,

4. Mexico and

5. South Africa

These countries and the G-8 Group, Britain, Germany, Italy, United States, Russia, Japan, France and Canada will discuss five themes:

1. climate policy,

2. fuel energy,

3. intellectual property right (IPR) protection,

4. investment liberalization and

5. the development of Africa,

The weather and Africa are being given priority.

China’s President Hu will be attending his fourth summit and will get to elaborate on China’s position regarding global warming.

Prior to President Hu’s visit, the Chinese government released a position paper for the G8 meetings.

On Africa….

“China and African countries have had a very friendly, brotherly partnership since the establishment of New China, since the 1950s, and that has continued up to now.”

On the Climate –

“China’s population is one-fifth of the global population, which means one out of five of the world’s people affected by climate change will be in China.

“That is why the Chinese government takes this issue very seriously… We need to base our development on energy that is secure and sustainable.”

Perhaps it is just a matter of time before China gets to join this group, no?

Lakshmi Tatma is thought by some to be the reincarnation of the Hindu god – Vishnu.

What happened is that she was born with a ‘parasitic twin’ – a headless twin is joined to the little girl at the pelvis with its own spinal column and kidney.

A team of 30 doctors/surgeons are hoping that after 40 hours, she will be just a little girl.

The little girl was born in a poor village on a day devoted to celebrating the four-armed Hindu deity Vishnu.

The little girl was discovered by a television documentary research team.

Let’s hope and pray, NOT to Vishnu, that the little girl’s surgery goes well.
